PARTY INSTRUCTIONS

1. We suggest that you set up the party table before any guests arrive, with each guest given a space at the table where they can work on their craft.

2. To protect against spills, cover the table to be used for the party with the pink table cover.

3. You have a choice as to whether you let the guests have all the contents at once, or whether you introduce the contents as they are required. The age of the guests will probably dictate the choice you make, with younger children needing more help and thus you would probably introduce the contents in stages.

4. Each guest should be asked to start by painting her ceramic heart. Ensure that each guest has a small container of water for her paintbrush. A square or two of kitchen towel per guest is also advisable!

5. Once the guests have painted the ceramic heart they need to let it fully dry, this will not take too long but if you need to speed it along a hair dryer works brilliantly! We have included with the box a bag for each guest containing glitter glue, which will give the ceramic hearts a nice finish. Let the guests clean their paintbrush and then use it to apply the glitter glue. HINT! do not apply the too much glitter glue, a thin film will be more effective.

6. If you wanted to break the craft activity to have a game, this is an ideal place to do it.

7. Once the paint has dried the guest can apply her stones to the ceramic heart using the glue dots.

8. Now to make the necklace (your help may be needed here) Ask each guest to take the ribbons by one end, holding the ends together. Twist the ribbon ends together to form a point, and thread this point through the clasp at the top of the heart. Place the heart in the middle of the ribbon and then tie a simple knot tightening over the clasp.

9. The guests can then feed beads onto each side of the necklace. Once the beads have been threaded a knot should be tied on either end of the ribbon to secure the beads. Alternatively, knots can form part of the pattern and be used to separate beads along the ribbon.

10. All that is left is to tie the ends together and the necklace is complete.

Preparing the Party Bags

Before the party write a party guests name onto each party bag. There are many ways you could do this including having the party girl write each guests name and special message in the heart printed on the bag.

Each guest should leave the party with a Party Bag containing:

.Their beautiful necklace (if it is not already around their neck)

.Paintbrush and Paint Pot Set

.Anything else you may decide to add

In order to save yourself a mad panic toward the end of the party, once the guests have finished painting the hearts, collect up the paintbrushes and paint pot sets from the table. The paint will be very easy to clean, and the children will not know their set from the next, so you can simply load a paint pot set and paintbrush into each party bag. Remember to ensure the paint pot sets are closed!

Alternatively, you can have the party bag on the table/hanging over the chair, and each guest can load their paint pot sets and paintbrush themselves.

We also included an Autograph Bear in the box. This is a small gift from Party In A Pink Box to the party girl, simply ask each of the guests to sign the bear during the party and she will have something that she can remember the party by for many years to come.
